full day colca canyon + flight of the condor

Peru’s Colca Canyon is one of the world’s deepest canyons and you can experience it for yourself on this full-day tour from Arequipa. The tour starts with pickup from your hotel in Arequipa historic center at around 3am. Then we will stop for breakfast before heading to the rim of the canyon where you can spot Andean condors in mid flight up close. This tour includes several stops at the canyon viewpoints, with stops for those who want to enter the thermal baths, or zipline or hike around, filled with the magic of the Canyon. After lunch, the tour continues to deliver more experiences by stopping at Patapampa viewpoint, where there are thaws, as well as stops at the national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca to see alpacas and vicuñas. Overall, this is one of the best tours of the Colca Canyon from Arequipa. Return time is approximately 5:30pm and 6:00pm.

What Is Included?

• 3am Hotel Pick up in the historic center
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking tour guide
• After a trip of 3 hours approx. We will arrive to Chivay for breakfast and instructions from the guide to get to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor.
• 45 minutes more in transport and we will arrive at the main point where we can observe the wonderful deep Colca Canyon.
• We will stay 1.5hrs. approx. to take pictures appreciating the splendor of the Condors with a width of 3.5 meters and approximately 11kg; Condor behavior explained by the guide.
• Visit of natural lookout points and stop to state the Sancayo ice cream.
• Stop for those who wish to enter the thermal baths of zipline or hike around, filled with the magic of the valley. This stop will be about 1 hour.
• Then we will have time to have lunch
• We will start our return trip to Arequipa, stopping al attractive points on the road such as the Patapampa viewpoint, where there are thaws, as wel as a wonderful view of the snowcapped mountains and many volcanoes that surround the city of Arequipa.
• We will stop at the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca to observe camelids in their different variety and the environment that surrounds them.
• Finally, we will stop at Patahuasi, for coca tea ar buy crafts. You can also see the back of the Misti volcano, contemplating its great height and fullness.
• We finish the tour in the Historic Center of the few blocks from the Plaza de Armas at approximately 5:30pm to 6:00pm
